“I made a lot of visual art during my childhood summers in India. They were mostly drawings of apples or oranges, and a few similar-looking landscapes, all in oil pastel. My art teacher didn’t believe in changing art learning until there was evidence of mastery. I couldn’t sit still very well to advance quickly during those hot summers.”
